On Sunday, August 31st, the 6th Petrified Forest Adventure MTB 2025 will take place in Sigri, Lesvos.
This is a special mountain bike race through the Petrified Forest Park of Sigri, starting and finishing at the Natural History Museum of the Lesvos Petrified Forest.
The race is organized by the Museum, with the support of the Lesvos Cycling Club, the Hellenic Rescue Team, and technical support from Lesvos Ride.

The Petrified Forest and race info
The race takes place inside the Petrified Forest of Lesvos, on a specially designed cycling route.
Riders will bike between 20-million-year-old petrified trees and impressive volcanic formations.
This event is a celebration of sports and nature, giving all participants the chance to ride in one of the most unique geological areas in Greece.
The route
The green section marks the route from the Museum to the park.
- From there, the red section begins — a loop that the riders will follow for one hour.
- The winner is the rider who completes the most laps during that time.
