Earth Hour 2023

The Cycling Association of Lesvos (Po.Sy.Le.) invites bicycle friends, in Earth Hour for 2023, to take part in the largest participatory awareness campaign ever to protect our planet, with the now established night our bike ride through the streets of Mytilini, while the city lights will be off!

An annual global action to raise awareness of climate change and encourage people to turn off the lights for one hour simultaneously in over 190 countries on Saturday 25 March 2023 to show they care about the future of our planet .
If we want to flip the switch, it is not enough to protect what nature is left alive. We must act together to restore what humanity has destroyed and heal the wounds. The time has come to give nature life again.

On Saturday, March 25, 2023, you are invited to take part in the Po.Sy.Le cycling race. for Earth Hour and join the rest of the planet in tackling climate change.

As every year, our date is March 25 at 20:00 in Sappho Square for the established cycle ride dedicated to EARTH HOUR.
Come to the “Earth Hour” bike ride in Mytilini, join your voice with millions of people around the world in parallel events.

For 16 years now, on the last Saturday of March we have been celebrating Earth Hour worldwide.

Earth Hour is one of the largest movements in the world for the protection of the environment, in which citizens, associations and groups in more than 190 countries of the world participate simultaneously around the world. It is a symbolic action that promotes unity, economy of natural resources and ecological movement, which we all need so much at this time.

Earth Hour, Saturday 25 March, is an opportunity for millions of people around the world to join our voices and together send a clear message: we want a sustainable future for all. We want a safe world, where every person will have equal opportunities. We want safe public transport. Only united and with a balanced relationship with nature will we be able to claim the world we envision.

Let’s make this year’s Earth Hour a symbol of solidarity, a movement for our future, for the benefit of people and the planet.

* Mandatory transparent front light and red rear light for participation in the cycle race.
